Dear Family:
Surprise! Welcome to the official website of the Armstead Family Reunion! All the information you need to participate in the 2008 reunion is right here! The reunion will be held July 10-13, 2008 at the Marriott Crystal Gateway in Arlington, VA (suburban Washington). The Washington, DC Metro Chapter has selected the theme "Honoring Our Past and Celebrating Our Future." We have planned a delightful weekend for you to enjoy in the Nation's Capital!
I would like to extend a special note of thanks to family members Shari Jenkins Suleman, Treasurer; Melodie Jenkins Felder, Secretary; and Jacqueline Stallworth, Education/Activities Chairperson. These 3 women graciously offered their support and accepted their roles without reservation. I would also like thank my husband, Scott Willis, who has been tremendously supportive along with my mom, Rosie Kerney (NY), and Shari and Mel's dad, Eugene Jenkins (OH). Special thanks to Monica Fischer (OH) who assisted with Marriott Hotel negotiations; Rev. Emmett G. Price III, Ph.D, (MA) who will officiate our prayer service; past chapter presidents Dorothy Burks (AL) for suggesting Washington, DC and nominating me at our 2006 reunion; Carolyn Price (CA) for her encouragement and support; and anyone else who reached out to help us in the early planning stages. We are looking forward to working with other relatives in our region and all of you to make this a success!
We look forward to seeing you this summer. In the meantime be safe, happy, and most of all be blessed!
